Excavator Attachment Services

Harrybilt Engineering provides servicing, upgrades and refurbishment solutions for a wide range of rail maintenance attachments and equipment.

Our team can assess existing equipment, carry out structural repairs, replace worn components and implement upgrades that improve reliability, safety and operational performance. By extending the working life of existing assets, Harrybilt helps customers reduce downtime, lower replacement costs and maximise long-term equipment value.

Heavy Duty Rail Threader

Refurbished Heavy Duty Rail Threaders can return to service at approximately half the cost of purchasing new equipment.

Our Rail Threaders are built tough to work hard. After a few years on the track, some parts may need repairs or replacing but the main body is still up for more.

Harrybilt Engineering can transform an existing Rail Threader into a Heavy Duty Threader by carrying out a series of structural, mechanical and functional enhancements designed to increase durability, load capacity and operational efficiency. These Threaders can then be sent back out on rail for around ½ the price of a new one

Rail Tamper Refurbishment & Servicing

Harrybilt Engineering can fully service and regenerate an existing Rail Tamper, extending its operational life and restoring performance without the cost of a full replacement. Even where certain components require repair, overhaul, or complete replacement, the core structure of the Tamper often remains sound and ready for many more years of service.

By drawing on our specialised engineering capability, Harrybilt Engineering can transform an ageing Tamper into a reliable, modernised asset. Upgraded, compliant, and tailored to current operational needs.

This Rail Tamper was originally purchased in 2014 and returned to Harrybilt Engineering for major servicing ten years later.

Rail Trailer Preventative Maintenance

Harrybilt’s Rail Trailer is supported by a preventative maintenance program designed to keep your equipment performing at its best.

Our recommended service schedule helps maximise safety, reliability and lifespan through regular inspections of key components, including the hydraulic system, trailer frame, wheels, brakes and pneumatic circuits.

With specialist servicing at set intervals, operators can reduce downtime, prevent costly failures and ensure their Rail Trailer continues to operate smoothly in demanding rail environments. When maintained correctly, your trailer delivers long‑term value and dependable performance across every project.

Proper maintenance is essential in avoiding premature damage. The table below details items and outlines a recommended maintenance schedule.
