Heavy Duty Rail Threader

Refurbished Heavy Duty Rail Threaders can return to service at approximately half the cost of purchasing new equipment.

Our Rail Threaders are built tough to work hard. After a few years on the track, some parts may need repairs or replacing but the main body is still up for more.

Harrybilt Engineering can transform an existing Rail Threader into a Heavy Duty Threader by carrying out a series of structural, mechanical and functional enhancements designed to increase durability, load capacity and operational efficiency. These Threaders can then be sent back out on rail for around ½ the price of a new one.

Rail Tamper Refurbishment & Servicing

Harrybilt Engineering can fully service and regenerate an existing Rail Tamper, extending its operational life and restoring performance without the cost of a full replacement. Even where certain components require repair, overhaul, or complete replacement, the core structure of the Tamper often remains sound and ready for many more years of service.

By drawing on our specialised engineering capability, Harrybilt Engineering can transform an ageing Tamper into a reliable, modernised asset. Upgraded, compliant, and tailored to current operational needs. 

This Rail Tamper was originally purchased in 2014 and returned to Harrybilt Engineering for major servicing ten years later.
