About Us

Harrybilt Engineering specialises in the design, development and manufacture of specialist Infrastructure Networks across Australia.


Harrybilt Engineering is a family owned manufacturing business, established in 1985. The team have developed significant experience in the rail industry over the years and pride themselves in having the ability to design and develop equipment to suit specific customer needs.

The workshop and office is located at 10 Golden Crescent, Ballarat in a modern engineering factory constructed in 2008. It was further expanded in 2011 to incorporate a large spare parts store and in 2019, the factory floor was doubled to meet growing demands in the Rail Market and to tackle complex projects.


There is currently significant development taking place in the Rail Infrastructure Networks across Australia and to ensure timely completion of this work, there has been a need to develop new equipment and processes to meet this growing demand. Harrybilt Engineering are often challenged with specialist rail problems where the team are able to design and manufacture a customised product. In 2013, an onsite testing facility was installed to conduct compliance testing for network registration.

Harrybilt Engineering consists of fully qualified and experienced tradesmen and apprentices. Along with new positions bringing extensive manufacturing experience and who are always looking for opportunities to provide new products to this market. The team also has in-house specialists, including a Hydraulics Technician and a Mechanical Engineer.
